The confessio augustana is the Augsburg confession, on June 25th, 1530. The battle of breitenfeld happened September 17th, 1631, roughly a century afterward. Notice 6/25/1530 and 9/17/1631. Summing up the date numbers gives 6+25+1530=1561 and 9+17+1631=1657. Their difference, is 1657-1561=96. 96 could be related to the 6 and 9 seen in large text.
