The picture below it is of the MA State House. I believe the map in the background is of Prague.
Webmaster: Webmaster: Got this 9.3.99 from you-know-who: clue=Get the name of the Castle--it is important. If one of your European contacts does not know, then have a friend loan you Scott's International Postage Stamp Catalog, or ask your able counselor, Repubgirl. After that, notice the THEME of the Russian (Soviet) stamp--the point is obvious, but the designers (of the Announcement) also intended the various readers to think of the Castle in the same context. (This, obviously, is Second Level.) The Hebrew (under the Soviet stamp) is signficant on three (3) levels--even a literal translation will greatly aid Mr. Hance. Pax tibi. name=From the growing number of your friendsWebmaster: I do need help on the castle - I've tried a number of references, to no avail. Ashton: Oh, you see the Hebrew on May 1, 1991? That's the first line of Habukkuk 2:3 in Hebrew. Habakkuk 2:3 ... "for the vision is yet for the appointed time, it hastens towards the goal and it will not fail, though it tarries wait for it, for it certainly will come, it will not delay". Fresh from the nice-f'ing-score dept: Repubgirl 05.24.01 The German stamp is of Wartburg Castle...where Luther translated the New Testament from Greek to German during his exile. I couldn't tell what the Soviet stamp was all about until I found a better graphic (below)...it's a man kneeling on a dragon = St. George slays the dragon. So, the theme here is the triumph of Christianity over evil? See the pictures here:Soviet stamp: http://www.rossia.com/stamps/frstampinfo.htm - (click on 105-200 and go all the way to the bottom of the page...it's no. 200) German stamp: http://home.wanadoo.nl/dgeerlings/Postzegels/Republic2.htm Also: http://www.unesco.org/whc/sites/897.htm anton 06.24.01 clue: in case it's not obvious -- the diagram beside Luther (his right) is about celestial navigation; the Mondrianesque drawing ("MacArthur Park") is an integrated circuit (`chip') design; the triangulation below it ("redeemable in gold") is probably about land surveying. St George and the dragon appear in the old coat of arms of Russia. cynic2 07.12.01 clue: Somebody correct me if this is wrong but I think both Los Angeles and San Francisco have a MacArthur Park. Dragyn: 09.09.01 clue: The circled longitude and lattitude on the right hand size (37.52N, 122.18W) is in San Francisco. Yahoo Maps shows 1647 Virginia Street as an address in San Francisco. Anybody live nearby that can drive by and see what's there? Dragyn: 09.09.01 clue: Bugatti Type 41 (right panel), the Royale - the "grandest car ever made" = only 5 were made, all between 1926 and 1932. One sold on 1987 for $9.8 million http://www.fortunecity.com/silverstone/lancia/58/classic/bugatti.htm Many of the names associated with the approximations to the phi, the golden ratio, were also in December 5, 1990, where they were tied to theorems in Principia Mathematica. Many of the names are also associated with Christian Martyrs. clue: San Francisco Address was decoded in for May 86 - ignore my previous message about this. perhaps some cross notes are needed. Bob: 10.03.01 clue: Leitmotiv appears to be from the hymn: "Open Lord My Inward Ear," written by Charles Wesley in 1742. Charles was the brother of John Wesley, generally credited as the founder of the Methodist Church. Here's the appropriate verse: Lord, my time is in your hand, To you, my soul convert; You can make me understand, Though I am slow of heart; Lord, in you I live and move, You are light, upon me shine; You are wisdom, power, and love, And all you are is mine. repubgirl: 10.24.01 "What's past is prologue" is from Shakespeare's "The Tempest." Rich: 12.17.02 clue: "Tertium non datur" = a third possiblity does not exist. Used in logic / mathematics to stress that a statement is either true or false. scathach 04.10.03 quotation "if I should die before I wake" comes from a prayer I knew as a child but I don't know its origin. However, if I recall correctly, it goes: "Matthew, Mark, Luke and John Bless this bed that I lie on If I should die before I wake I pray the Lord my soul to take" Juls: 04.16.2003 Text down right hand side contains important info that may help to decode stuff in other announcements. Since it is difficult to read I'm going to lay the data out here for ease of reference. 1. = Winthrop; 1.6 = Owsley; 1.61 = Schrodinger; 1.618 = Bradwardine (answer to Hance's query on 3/20/91 page); 1.1680 = Farragut; 1.61803 = Latimer & Ridley; 1.618033 = Kitchener Pasha; 1.6180339 = Martin Chemnitz; 1.61803398 = Matthias Flacius (Illyricus); 1.618033988 = Mistah Kurtz; 1.6180339887 = Melanchthon; 1.61803398874 = The Fuzzy Furry Freak Brothers; 1.618033988749 = The Little Orphan Children; 1.6180339887498 = Gerhard; Captain Morgan is apparently in the process of being recycled at this point, probably due to whatever went down on 10/24/90 where an anomaly was percieved in his transmission and it was to be assumed that he was in hostile territory unless visual confirmation could be confirmed. Bob: 04.21.2003 Juls, you rock big time. beacon: 04.28.2003 clue: re scatachs clue 4 /10 /03 Thats not the prayer I knew And yourwords for Matthew mark lke and John are wrong also. It was As i lay down my head to sleep i pray the lord my soul to keep If I should die before I wake I pray the Lord my soul to take. but I wonder if the words have significance here. Maybe the meter Pentameters, hexameteres etc. are clues as are the timings of the musical clues. Juls : 09.08.2003 text running up left hand side - tale of Jacob Boehme in Gorlitz - ADW 16/1/91 (bottom text) tells 'Martin Chemnitz' to proceed overland to Gorlitz on the date of this ad 'Maitag 1991' - perhaps this tale represents further instruction / information regarding Chemnitz's activities? Also connected may be the adjacent arrow pointing to the top of the page - it sits directly on the end of the word 'eyes' as if saying 'look upwards'. Eri: 09.17.2003 "Gauss was intensely private, but his wife kept telling him that they needed company...." This is a total guess, but it could refer to German Mathematician Johann Carl Friedrich Gauss. http://www-gap.dcs.st-and.ac.uk/~history/Mathematicians/Gauss.html Here is more info: http://www.geocities.com/RainForest/Vines/2977/gauss/g_bio.html ....This one mentions that "It is hard to appreciate fully the isolation to which Gauss was condemned in childhood by thoughts that he could share with no one." -and plenty more about his private nature and other aspects of his personality, such as his conservatism. He was a contemporary of Laplace. Joe23: 09.14.2003 The two greek words, chronos and kairos refer to time,Chronos refers to time but Kairos means "the critical time", "the time when things might happen"... anonymous 10.21.2003 http://users.aol.com/DoniBess/boehme.htm Jacob Boehme was born on or soon before April 24, 1575 in Altseidenberg, near Görlitz in eastern Germany. Following apprenticeship, he set up his own shop as a shoemaker in Görlitz, where he resided (except for a period of exile in Dresden) until his death on November 17, 1624. After a profound mystical experience at the age of twenty five (1600), while remaining active as a shoemaker and later a merchant, he embarked on a remarkable career of independent scholarship and writing. Though censured for heresy and silenced for seven years by his town council, he eventually produced some twenty nine books and tracts on philosophical theology, and gained a growing following among the nobility and professional classes of the day. --- Maybe the dream described on the left side of this ad was Böhme's mystical experience. name: Eri Beacon : 12.28.2003 The diagram of the sphere in the top left is to do with astronomical navigation. Z is the Zenith (the point directly overhead). P is polaris or the pole star. H1 and h2 seem to correspond to the height above the horizon of a particular stat (or the sun). The band running round the globe could be the ecliptic i.e. the path of the sun (and moon and planets within 5 degrees) in the sky aka. the Zodiacal constellations. there are 13 by the catalogue (and two more if you include the extreme variation of the planets).Pn is polar North and t' is the angular (or temporal) seperation of the Sun/star at different times (or in different positions).S2 by the way seems directly south. so the whole thing suggests to me "shooting" the Sun at culmination i.e. when directly South at local noon. Marcel B. 09.05.2005 The Hebrew word at the bottom (in addition to the meanings correctly identified by Jeremy) also means "for the world". In Aramaic / rabbinic Hebrew, it also means something roughly translated as "really and truly". Sorry that this just confuses things further. Juls 09.12.2005 Re. the two stamps - the communication from Them indicates that the theme of the Russian stamp should be applied to the German stamp - so here's my take on it. St George slew the dragon which terrorised the people and demanded a daily sacrifice of their most precious belongings, their children. Considering this theme in relation to Wartburg castle, that is, the place where Luther translated the New Testament into German - the dragon here is the Vatican, as head and controller of the Christian church, and Luther is the 'dragon-slayer.' Luther's translation of scripture made it directly accessible to the people - they could now see for themselves what the scriptures said and were no longer dependent upon the church for Christian teaching. Basically - by allowing German Christians to access scripture directly themselves, Luther's action had enabled their release from the stranglehold of Rome, the demands that it made on them and the control that it exercised over them. D. Thomasson 03.20.2006 In reference to 12.28.2003 Beacon's comments about astronomical navigation and Zodiacal constellations, see a picture of the Astronomical Clock in Prague (the background map of this announcement). http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/d/d5/Prague_Apr04_015.jpg Read more about the clock at http://utf.mff.cuni.cz/Relativity/orloj.htm and elsewhere on the net. As mentioned in an earlier post, Nove Mesto (New Town) that is located on the Prague map, was started by Charles IV in 1348. The streets were laid out in the shape of a cross with four churches carefully placed near the four ends of the cross: Church of Our Lady na Slovanech (Kostel Panny Marie na Slovanech) Church of Our Lady Chalotte (Kostel Panny Marie na Karlove) Church of Our Lady na Travniku (Kostel Nejsvitijsi Trojice) Church of St. Katherine (Kostel svaté Kateøiny) To see pictures of the churches, check out picture numbers 58/68, 66, 73, and 79 at: http://web.quick.cz/bohous.schnabl/Kostely/Popisy/Nove_mesto.html Today there are two main roads that intersect, forming a cross that are related to these churches. One road runs East-West (Katennska), and the other road runs North-South (Ke Karlovu). Go to http://www.mapy.cz and type in: loc:50°5'13.23 14°25'15.3+dist:42km to see a street map of Prague. Zoom in closely. You can click on the little church icon pictures to get information about the churches (in Slovonic). While I was searching around on the Prague street map, I came across a very interesting restaurant called: Pizzeria Einstein on the corner of Londynska and Rumunska at LOC:50°4'27.46" N, 14°26'0.8" E. It is Praha 120 00. (Notice the "120"). See pictures of the restaurant at http://www.pizza-einstein.cz. By the way, Prague covers an area of 866 hectares (3.3436448354200867 miles). If you mirror 866, you get 668 which is also a number used several times throughout these Mayday announcements. Please take a look at http://www.borderschess.org/668.htm to see an amazing solution to the number 668. Read more about great Prague sites such as Karlstejn. This a castle built by Charles IV that held the Crown Jewels of the Holy Roman Empire, and relics of the crucifixion. Notice the 128 wooden panels symbolizing heavenly armies in the Holy Cross Chapel of Karlstejn. See more at: http://www.tours.cz/heliosvia/new/english/07.htm There are three levels to the Karlstejn Castle representing: Level 1 - life on earth Level 2 - the space for cleansing one's soul Level 3 - the image of the future victorious heavenly Kingdom. Search on Konepruske Caves and read about the Secret Money Forgers. Galilite 10.09.2006 The Hebrew word on the picture with circles under Greek words is "nefel" which means "miscarriage". iao 12.25.2007 REDEEMABLE IN GOLD ON DEMAND AT THE UNITED STATES TREASURY OR IN GOLD OR LAWFUL MONEY AT ANY FEDERAL RESERVE BANK Golden mean? Or reference to the fact that the US "money" is no longer lawful as there is no value attached to it? The yellow brick road was once paved with gold but now is just fiat. Sadly, I am not highly intelligent and have nothing else to contribute. jc 10.24.2009 The Russian stamp is called "New Russia Triumphant" or "A Freed Proletarian". It was designed by a Russian artist Mikhail Antonov and issued on 10 August, 1921. The stamp is obviously symbolized the victory of the Soviet regime over the Russian Empire. Interestingly enough, exactly 70 years after the stamp was issued and three months after this ad was published, the Soviet Union collapsed. Truly, "the time when things might happen". Stephan 05/13/2014 "Redeemable in Gold on demand" This could be a reference to our (fraudulent) fiat money system and the old Gold Standard. Joe S 05/21/2015 Refer to the May 1, 2015 release. It alludes to this publishing. I think they may be in common. 10/20/2017 Comments: Circle equals square over triangle. Pay particular attention to what is otherwise known at the 'd'Alembert operator'. Consider the context in which it is presented. Comments: Commerce has set the mark of selfishness, The signet of its all-enslaving power, Upon a shining ore, and called it gold*; Before whose image bow the vulgar great, The vainly rich, the miserable proud, The mob of peasants, nobles, priests and kings, And with blind feelings reverence the power That grinds them to the dust of misery. But in the temple of their [hireling] hearts Gold is a living god (!) and rules in scorn All earthly things but virtue. (no name provided) 10/19/2019 I think the equation inside the box with "REDEEMABLE IN GOLD ON DEMAND..." is a "corruption" of a statement in modal logic (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Modal_logic). Ignoring the "corruptions", I will read it as: "Psi is possible" is defined as "It is false that Psi is not necessary". I say "corruption" because there are "unecessary" symbols like the arrow ("implies" symbol in logic), and the "null set" symbol. I wrong most likely with this because I think the equation is just "pasted"; came from a book, not typeset by them. Interesting that Mathematical logic is also prominent in Mayday, aside from Relativity/QM. phin 1/25/2023 that big G mark on the bottommost diagram is a federal reserve district marking that appears on the US dollar.
